Accepting Applications to the 2025 Skills for Success Course
Read the instructions carefully before applying.
Qualified applicants will be interviewed in order of application.
Full-fee applicants who apply before Dec 31, 2024 are guaranteed admission if they qualify. Early applicants will have first choice of which session they will attend.
Qualifying:
Submit a cognitive ability test score to prequalify for the Course. Qualifying tests include: SAT, ACT, PSAT 10, PSAT 11, GCSE, WISC, Raven’s, and other IQ tests.
Those who score above the 80th percentile (nationally) will be considered for the next stage, which includes an interview and a take-home project.
Students who do not have a test score will be invited to take the Raven’s Progressive Matrices online. Futures Forge administers this through Pearson; this costs $40. A few practice questions are here.
Timelines:
Interviews, projects, and offers will be given in blocks.
Block 1 - Full Fee Students:
Interviews begin Sep 16
Offers given at the end of each calendar month to top applicants
Other strong applicants waitlisted
Block 2 - Scholarship students
Interviews begin Nov 11
Offers given each month starting January
Some scholarship candidates will be waitlisted
All offers must be accepted within one month, including a 25% tuition deposit (or $500 deposit for scholarship recipients).
Tuition balances are due March 31st for all students. The Course will run three separate sessions in summer 2025: late June, early July, late July.
Scholarships & Financial Aid:
Scholarships are available based on a combination of demonstrated cognitive ability, interview strength, and demonstrated financial need. In order to be eligible for a scholarship, you must declare for Block 2 (Scholarship). Note that scholarship funds are limited; qualified test scores do not guarantee a scholarship award. Those who receive a Scholarship offer will need to go through a diligence process to confirm financial need.
90th-97th percentile test scores prequalify for a Half Scholarship (50% of fees)
98th+ percentile scores prequalify for a Full Scholarship
Full Scholars are expected to provide $500 to support room & boarding expenses.
